The question, and the apology attached to it

Almost everyone asks the same thing before they ask anything else, and they usually apologise for asking it. What actually happens?

It is a fair question and it deserves a plain answer, because the honest one is stranger than the vague one. There is no clinic, no waiting room, no couch, no consultation table, no hands, no music, no incense, no crystals placed on you in a particular arrangement. Nobody asks you to close your eyes and picture a golden light.

Here is the whole of it. Most of this work — the physical, the condition-specific, the single sessions — puts nothing in your diary at all. You go to work, cook dinner, catch a flight, sleep, and it happens around you. The mental and emotional work is the exception: for that you lie down somewhere quiet at an agreed time, and the practitioner works from wherever he happens to be.

Those who do have a time to keep mostly choose one they would be asleep for, on the reasonable grounds that there is nothing to stay awake for.

You do not have to be good at this

What is asked of you is almost nothing, and the emptiness of the list is the part people distrust.

You do not need to concentrate. You do not need to visualise anything, breathe in a particular pattern, hold an intention, or keep your mind clear. You do not need to be online, on a call, or reachable. You do not need to believe that any of this works. A good number of people arrive certain it does not, having come only because somebody whose head they respect told them to stop arguing and try it.

You are not required to tell your life story either. A sentence or two about what you want to be different is the whole of it. There is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from having to explain yourself before anyone will help you, and this work does not ask for it.

There is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from having to explain yourself before anyone will help you.

On you, not on a photograph of you

He works on you directly. Not on a photograph, not on a symbol, not on a name written down on a list — on you, in whatever room you happen to be standing in. Distance makes no difference to it.

That is the practice's position, stated as such rather than dressed up as physics, and it is the single claim here that most people find hardest to swallow. It is also the one under the most daily strain, because almost nobody this work is done for is in the same country as the person doing it. Most clients have never met him. A great many have never been to Cambodia.

What can be said without stretching anything: this has grown for years without a single advertisement, and it has reached founders, chief executives, performers and public figures who had no particular reason to be credulous. People who are not, on the whole, easy to sell things to.

What people notice, including the ones who notice nothing

The range runs from a great deal to nothing at all, which is an awkward thing to put on a page.

Some people feel something while it is happening — warmth, heaviness, the particular sensation of a body letting go of something. Some feel nothing at all. Neither turns out to predict much. The evidence arrives the next morning, and again in the week after that.

The accounts below were written by the clients themselves, after the fact. Nothing has been added to them and nothing has been strengthened.

I woke this morning and my shoulders felt genuinely lighter and more relaxed. That's a real, tangible shift — not something I expected after one session.

Female client, China · Physical Rejuvenation work, first session

My lungs feel better than they have in decades. They were a weak point for years — annual bouts of bronchitis when I was younger. After the rejuvenation session, that vulnerability simply isn't there anymore.

Male client, USA · Physical Rejuvenation work

People listen to me now. Before, bosses wouldn't register what I said — it went unheard, or dismissed. Suddenly they hang on every word. My creativity and ideas are through the roof.

Male client · Mental & emotional work

Every account is a client's own words, published with their consent, with names and identifying details removed. They describe individual subjective experience. They are not medical evidence, and no particular result is promised.

Some people notice a great deal in the first week. Some notice very little at first and considerably more three months in. That variation is real, and it is the honest reason nobody here will tell you in advance what your first week will be like.

Afterwards, there is no way to fall behind

Nothing is handed to you to do. No exercises, no diet, no supplement, no device, no daily sitting, no journal, no app. Nothing that depends on you remembering it.

This is deliberate, and it is the feature people underrate most. Almost everything else offered to a person who wants to feel better is, in the end, another task — one more thing to be diligent about, one more way to fail. This is the opposite. It happens whether or not you are being good.

It is worth saying what this does not do. It amplifies effort; it does not stand in for it. People who give the body nothing to work with still feel a great deal better. People who give it something get further, and the difference is not small.

Where this stops

It is not medical treatment. It does not diagnose, treat or cure anything, and it does not replace care from a qualified professional. If you are under a doctor's care, stay under it.

Nothing here is a reason to change or stop a prescription. Medication is a conversation with the person who prescribed it, and only with them.

It is not therapy, and it is not coaching. There is no framework, no script, no homework, no diagnosis.

This is not an emergency service. For chest pain, difficulty breathing, a head injury, sudden weakness or confusion, severe bleeding, a high fever in a child, or anything you would ordinarily call an ambulance for, contact emergency services or go to a hospital now.

And it is not for everyone. Some enquiries are turned down, and turned down plainly, which is a good deal more useful to the person asking than being taken on and quietly disappointed.

One hour, and your own answer

The shortest possible test is a single session aimed at one specific thing. It commits you to nothing, and it is worth being exact about what it does and does not settle: for the mental and emotional work it is a fair test, and for an ordinary physical complaint it is a fast one but a less reliable one, because not everything clears in an hour.

Either way the evidence is your own by the following morning, rather than somebody else's.

That is generally a better basis for a decision than any amount of prose, including this.
